Admissions
In-Year Applications (Years 7–11) - Applications for in-year places are processed directly by the school. We are currently oversubscribed in all year groups. However, if you wish to apply for an in-year place at The West Bridgford School, please click here to complete our Admission Request Form. A printable version is also available below. You will receive the outcome of your application in writing within 15 school days.
Applications for Year 7 places for September 2026 - Applications for new year 7 places must be made to Nottinghamshire County Council before 31st October. Further information about the Nottinghamshire County Council’s Coordinated Admissions Scheme can be found here.
Technological Aptitude Assessment - Each year, The West Bridgford School may allocate up to 10% of its places (22 in total) based on technological aptitude. However, these places are only offered if any remain after all applicants living within the catchment area have been accommodated through the Common Application process. Please be aware that, due to consistently high levels of oversubscription, the school has not been able to offer places through the Technological Aptitude Assessment for the past seven years. Given the current number of students within the catchment area, it is highly unlikely that any places will be available via this route. If you would still like your child to take part in the assessment, please click here to complete the application form.
Appeals - If your application is unsuccessful and you wish to appeal the decision, please complete the Appeal Request Form and email it to lattewell@wbs.school.
Appeals are managed by an independent clerk and heard by an independent panel. They will be scheduled within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged.
Post-16 Admissions - For Post-16 admissions, please refer to the Post-16 section of our website or contact post16@wbs.school for further information.
For general enquiries, please contact Louise Attewell at lattewell@wbs.school.
